Have you ever experienced any of these?
1. You're working on a level but have hit a complete roadblock on how to finish it;
2. You want ideas on how to create your next level, and/or;
3. You want to help someone complete their level.
If you have answered Yes to any of these questions, then I highly recommend the Bits You Can Finish package!
This topic was started by Dullstar on September 27, 2016 as a way to share with others a level that he could not finish and inspiring others to share their own completed levels. During my time as level creator for my Lemmingbytes pack since 2014, I accumulated more than 100 unfinished/rejected levels which I ended up submitting to the topic in 2016. Various other authors have also contributed: Colorful Arty, GigaLem, namida, Nepster (including a rejected level from Deceit's Lemmings, a pack that he converted), Nessy, Proxima and WouterSmits.
During my over 10 years of level development, I have accumulated over 1000+ bits in what I call Wafflem's Junkyard! This is mainly because:
a. I run out of ideas for the level, or;
b. The level ended up being terrible quality and is therefore rejected.
This is what I have in my folder so far:
1. USB - Lemmingbytes rejects
2. Penthouse - Urblems rejects
3. Monochrome - Lemmings Palette rejects
4. Trifle - Dessertlems rejects
5. B-Side - Lemmings Mixtape rejects
6. Prototype - older versions of levels that I've eventually remade in a different graphic set
7. Ben Bryant - a canceled pack of remakes of Ben Bryant's Cheapo levels by me and mobius
8. IS Lost Levels - rejected remakes of Insane Steve's World levels
9. Brandon Turok - my attempt to remake some of the PalmOS levels, but decided not to do it at this time.
10. 1,500+ incomplete levels, sorted by category and graphic set!
Since Dullstar posted his topic, a few people have kindly taken the time to complete those levels, and this is something that I strongly encourage to everyone on the forums!
I can share pictures a few levels that people (myself included) have completed!
I also completed Dullstar's level that he initially posted, but not in the way he envisioned it (which involves splitters and the Marble tileset):
If you have never finished others' levels before or have unfinished and/or rejected levels lying around, I strongly encourage participating here! Who knows, you could be very inspired to develop some super-awesome levels with them, and they could even help speed up pack development! People will be very grateful that you used their levels, even if they're no longer as active as they used to be on the forums!
On another note, I would like to extend my utmost thanks to Flopsy, GigaLem and Armani for taking the time to finish my levels; they really mean a lot to me, and they've given me the inspiration to make levels again!
GigaLem especially has inspired me to finish others' levels after completing my levels for Millas and FM2023, and I just felt I needed to give back to him by doing the same thing for FM2024!
Now he's continuing to complete others' levels for his upcoming pack, Que Sopresa, Mas Lemmings!
I highly encourage you to check out that download link; there are thousands of unfinished levels waiting for you to complete them! :D
